Reliability And Timing Analysis of Distributed systems
نویسنده
چکیده
Modelling and analysis are important tools in the development of safety critical real-time systems. The introduction of state-of-the-art analysis techniques in industry is however rather slow. One reason for this is the pessimism in models and analysis, e.g., schedulability analysis for realistic systems are typically based on simplifying assumptions which leads to pessimism that forces designers to make costly overdesigns, dimensioning the system for worst-case situations that may never occur. At the same time, the over all system requirement is to satisfy a reliability measure of, say, at most 10 faults per hour.

Investigating and Improving the Effect of Distributed Generation on Reliability in Wind Systems by ARMA Method
The increasing development of the use of new energies has led to the widespread use of power electronics, so that electronic power converters play an important role in extracting power from renewable sources. Power electronics can convert raw energy produced from new energy into the desired power with controlled current, voltage and frequency to be used in the power grid. Restructuring of power...
متن کاملDetermination of Optimal Capacity and Location of Distributed Generations in Radial Distribution Systems using Krill Herd Algorithm
Abstract Reliability and active power loss are two fundamental parameters in the design and planning of distribution systems that have always attracted the attention of power distribution systems designers and engineers. The improvement of reliability and the reduction of power loss are investigated as the primary objective functions and voltage profile as the secondary objective function. A me...
متن کاملReliability Assessment of Distribution Systems in Presence of Microgrids Considering Uncertainty in Generation and Load Demand
The microgrid concept provides attractive solutions for reliability enhancement of power distribution systems. Normally, microgrids contain renewable-energy-based Distributed Generation (DG) units, which their output power varies with different environmental conditions. In addition, load demand usually changes with factors such as hourly and seasonal customer activities. Hence, these issues hav...
متن کاملDynamic Planning the Expansion of Electric Energy Distribution Systems Considering Distributed Generation Resources in the Presence of Power Demand Uncertainty
In this paper, a new strategy based on a dynamic (time-based) model is proposed for expansion planning of electrical energy distribution systems, taking into account distributed generation resources and advantage of the techno-economic approach. In addition to optimal placement and capacity, the proposed model is able to determine the timing of installation / reinforcement of expansion options....
متن کاملIntegrating reliability and timing analysis of CAN-based systems
This paper outlines and illustrates a reliability analysis method developed with focus on CAN-based automotive systems. The method considers the effect of faults on schedulability analysis and its impact on the reliability estimation of the system, and attempts to integrate both to aid system developers. We illustrate the method by modeling a simple distributed antilock braking system, and show...
